Dr. Michele Lee Tanner

Veterinarian/Medical Director

Dr. Michele Lee Tanner is a proud graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine and holds licenses in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Florida. Originally from southern Louisiana, she now leads the compassionate and dedicated team at All Cypress Veterinary Hospital in Marshall, Texas.

Dr. Tanner is devoted to providing top-quality medical care while promoting community awareness of animal health. Beyond the clinic, she serves as an Adjunct Professor at Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine, educating future veterinarians and advocating for the well-being of pets. In addition, Dr. Tanner acts as an investigator for clinical trials, helping advance veterinary medicine while giving back to the community.

At home, Dr. Tanner and her husband, James, maintain a lively household filled with animals. Their furry family includes dogs Devereaux, Bailey, Izzy, Aido, and Seph; cats Fred and Fiona; and horses Abby, Suep, Sneak, Max, and Cupid. They also care for cows, goats, peacocks, and chickens, all while tending their pecan orchard.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Tanner and James share a passion for cutting horse competitions across the country. She has competed at the NCHA World Finals in 2023 and 2025 in multiple classes, earning two World Championships in Team Penning and a Reserve Championship in the AQHA Cutting division. These accomplishments inspire her daily dedication to excellence in veterinary medicine and her commitment to advancing the services offered at All Cypress Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Paige Coody

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Paige Coody, a native Texan, earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine after completing her undergraduate studies at Oklahoma State University. Her journey to All Cypress Veterinary Hospital began through summer positions and multiple externships, where she quickly discovered a welcoming environment that felt like home.

Dr. Coody deeply connects with the clinic’s culture of continual learning and teamwork, valuing professional growth and collaboration as the foundation of exceptional patient care. She is passionate about integrating innovative clinical techniques while honoring the trusted traditions of veterinary medicine—all in pursuit of providing the highest quality care for pets and their families.

At home in Marshall, Dr. Coody shares life with her husband, Travis Danford, their daughter, Leighton, and a lively assortment of pets and farm animals. Their household includes dog- Dallie; cats- Flint, Banjo, Abra Kadabra, Howdy, and Toggle; and several exotic pets such as a hedgehog, sugar gliders, a snake, a bearded dragon, a hamster, and fish. Their love for animals extends to larger companions as well—horses Tula and Sweetie Darling, a pet steer named Lazarus, goats, and chickens.

Outside of work, Dr. Coody treasures her role as a mom and loves spending time with her family on their property. She strives to live life with intention, making time to do at least one fun or meaningful thing each day. Dr. Coody brings warmth, compassion, and expertise to every patient she cares for. Her commitment to lifelong learning and the growth of All Cypress Veterinary Hospital reflects her deep dedication to both her clients and their animals.

Jena Whitsett

Jena is a compassionate and dedicated member of the All Cypress Veterinary Hospital team, taking immense pride in providing exceptional care to every patient. A valued part of the practice since May 2009, she brings nearly three decades of experience in veterinary medicine, having begun her career in 2001. Her expertise in dentals, surgical monitoring, and patient care, combined with her long-standing familiarity with the hospital’s advanced equipment—including Idexx bloodwork machines and surgical sterilization systems—makes her an integral part of keeping All Cypress Veterinary Hospital running smoothly.

A graduate of Sul Ross State University with an associate degree in veterinary technology, Jena has expanded her skills with certifications in ultrasound, dentistry, and nutrition. As a Certified Veterinary Assistant, she is equally passionate about caring for both small and large animals, showcasing her versatility and dedication.

Outside of work, Jena enjoys cooking and baking, shopping, and supporting her daughter, Darci Jo, in FFA and 4-H activities. She is also active in her church community, which provides a sense of connection and fulfillment. Above all, Jena’s greatest joy comes from being a devoted mother to Darci Jo, whose presence brings endless happiness to her life.

Amber Deaton

Amber has been a dedicated member of the All Cypress Veterinary Hospital team since March 2022. A proud graduate of Marshall High School, she began her journey in animal care through coursework at Animal Behavior College, where she studied veterinary clinic practices and animal behavior. Her passion for animals led her to earn her Certified Veterinary Assistant credentials, turning her love for pets into a rewarding and meaningful career.

Amber thrives in her role, finding joy in assisting with patient care during appointments and caring for exotic and pocket pets that visit the clinic. She is devoted to building lasting connections with both clients and team members, and her compassion and gentle nature shine through in every interaction.

At home, Amber shares her life with her husband, Hunter, and their two children, Emi and Atreus. Their household includes cats-Ghoul, Reaper, Gloom, and Hexie, as well as their Miniature Australian Shepherd, Stormie. They also care for several exotic pets, including tarantulas.

Outside of work, Amber enjoys reading, thrift shopping, and online gaming. She is channeling her creativity into writing—co-authoring a fantasy novel with her sister while independently working on a second fantasy book. These projects reflect her imagination and dedication, both in and outside the clinic.

Christopher Holyfield

Chris joined the All Cypress Veterinary Hospital team in October 2023, bringing three years of hands-on experience in animal care. A proud Texas Tech University graduate with a degree in Animal Science, he is also a certified Veterinary Assistant. His journey into veterinary medicine was inspired by a deep desire to promote animal well-being and the joy of helping pets live their healthiest, happiest lives.

At home, Chris shares his life with his girlfriend, Emily; a mixed-breed dog with a crooked tail named Wilson; and a cat, Dolly P. Having spent the majority of his life working with cattle, he particularly enjoys caring for the herd. His experience with both large and small animals strengthens his commitment to providing compassionate care for all pets and livestock.

Outside the clinic, Chris enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. He is an avid golfer, a sport he discovered in college, and also enjoys playing pickleball, appreciating both the friendly competition and camaraderie.

Motivated by curiosity and a drive for continued growth, Chris looks forward to expanding his clinical skills alongside the All Cypress Veterinary Hospital team. He strives to make every client smile when they come into the clinic, and with plans to pursue veterinary school, he remains dedicated to learning, serving, and making a lasting difference in the lives of animals and their owners.

Makenzie Odum

Makenzie joined the All Cypress Veterinary Hospital team in December 2024, bringing with her a lifelong passion for animals and valuable hands-on experience. A 2024 Hallsville High School graduate, Makenzie has been devoted to animal care from a young age. Her love for animals began early by helping her grandparents work cattle in the pasture. It deepened during her school’s Western Days event in third grade, which sparked her dream of a future in veterinary medicine.

Makenzie is committed to continuously expanding her knowledge of animal science and veterinary care. She currently holds a Veterinary Assistant certification and is pursuing her Veterinary Technician Associate Degree through Penn Foster. She finds great fulfillment in learning something new every day and takes pride in contributing to the compassionate, high-quality care that defines the All Cypress Veterinary Hospital team.

Outside the clinic, Makenzie enjoys spending time outdoors with her family. Her favorite pastimes include reading, camping, and horseback riding. A highlight of any day is going on trail rides and gathering around the bonfire on cool evenings. She is also the proud owner of her horse, Venom, who joins her on many of her riding adventures.

Terri Glaze

Terri has been a valued member of the All Cypress Veterinary Hospital family since September 2019, bringing five years of prior experience in compassionate animal care. As a Certified Veterinary Assistant, she finds fulfillment in connecting with clients, providing education, and ensuring that each pet receives the highest standard of care.

A graduate of Cave City High School, Terri’s lifelong passion for animal welfare naturally led her to a career in veterinary medicine. Her empathy, attention to detail, and gentle approach make her an indispensable part of the team. Terri readily takes on any role needed in the clinic—from intensive patient care to assisting in treatment rooms—demonstrating her dedication and versatility.

At home, Terri and her husband, Marty, share their lives with a lovable crew of animals, including dogs: Freckles, Roxy, Biddy, and a rescued cat: Ditch. Now easing into retirement, Terri continues to support the clinic part-time while enjoying more quality time with her family. She also cherishes bird watching, which allows her to relax and appreciate the beauty of nature.

Jodi D. Fuqua

Jodi joined the All Cypress Veterinary Hospital team in February 2019, bringing over two years of prior experience and a genuine enthusiasm for working with animals and their owners. Throughout her career, she has worn many professional hats, all contributing to her well-known empathetic communication skills. Jodi takes great pride in providing exceptional care to every patient while creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all clients.

Her compassionate personality and love for animals shine through in everything she does, whether assisting the technicians in the clinic or greeting pets and their families at the front desk. As a receptionist, she uses her Veterinary Assistant certification to answer client questions and assist with animal care. No question is too big or too small for Jodi to handle.

Outside of work, Jodi cherishes time with her friends, family, and beloved grandbabies, Bentley and Gabbi, who bring endless joy to her life. She also shares her home with her loyal Border Collie, Piper, whose energy and companionship perfectly reflect Jodi’s warm and caring spirit.

Brenna Stevens

Brenna has been a valued member of the All Cypress Veterinary Hospital team since December 2020, bringing over four years of experience in veterinary care. Her passion for animals shines through in every aspect of her work, and she thrives in the welcoming, family-like atmosphere of the clinic. Brenna especially enjoys building lasting relationships with both pets and their owners, ensuring every visit is a positive experience.

A proud Marshall High School graduate, Brenna is deeply committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care that helps animals live their happiest, healthiest lives. As a Marshall native, her strong community ties make her a perfect fit for supporting all aspects of the clinic, from the front desk to daily operations that keep the office running smoothly.

At home, Brenna shares her life with her husband, five children, and five cats—Pumpkin, Angel, Oli, Jasper, and Oscar. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, crafting, designing edible art, reading, and spending quality time with her family. Brenna also keeps both her family and the staff well-fed with her wonderful cooking skills.

Irene Shive

Irene joined the All Cypress Veterinary Hospital team in October 2025, bringing eight years of experience in veterinary clinics. As one of the first friendly faces clients meet, she takes pride in welcoming pets and their families with genuine warmth, care, and professionalism. Her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, combined with her lifelong love of animals, makes her a perfect fit for her role as a client care specialist.

Known for her positive attitude and dedication, Irene ensures that every visit begins with a smile and a sense of comfort. She enjoys being part of a team that shares her passion for animal care and community connection. Since joining the clinic, she has committed to continuous learning, so she can share her knowledge with clients and help them feel confident in caring for their beloved pets.

Outside the clinic, Irene enjoys ranch sorting, camping, and watching true crime documentaries. She shares her life with Paisley, her spirited Corgi mix, and Casanova, her striking Paint Horse—both of whom bring joy and adventure to her days.

Brandi Bivens

Brandi joined the All Cypress Veterinary Hospital team in November 2025, bringing with her a lifelong love of animals and a special fondness for the dogs she cares for each day. She is originally from Paris, TX, and is a graduate of Sabine High School. Brandi felt at home the moment she brought her own dog to the clinic for vaccinations and fell in love with the clinic’s welcoming environment and knowledgeable staff. She is grateful to be part of a team that shares her commitment to compassionate, high-quality care.

At home, Brandi enjoys life with Honey Buns, her rescued Chihuahua Mix, who has been her loyal companion and inspiration throughout her 15 years of rescue work. Her passion for helping animals extends beyond the clinic as she volunteers with Baby Guns Animal Rescue.

Outside of work, Brandi loves staying connected to her rescue community and staying active by teaching yoga and weight-training classes. She looks forward to building relationships with clients and their pets while expanding her skills to provide the best possible care for every patient who walks through the door.

Kenzie Umling

Kenzie joined the All Cypress Veterinary Hospital team in June 2025, bringing a genuine passion for animal care and a love of learning. A proud Elysian Fields High School senior, she enjoys being part of a team that helps a wide variety of pets and creatures each day. Her compassion and enthusiasm make her a wonderful fit for the clinic’s caring environment.

While balancing school and work, Kenzie stays involved in her school’s extracurricular activities. At home, she shares her life with two quirky companions—Pickels, her playful cat, and Boogie, her curious bearded dragon—both of whom keep her busy and actively applying her animal care skills.

Outside of work, Kenzie enjoys drawing, reading, and spending quality time with her family. She looks forward to growing in her role and continuing to expand her knowledge to provide the best care possible for every patient at All Cypress Veterinary Hospital.

Chloe Blackwell

Chloe joined All Cypress Veterinary Hospital in November 2025, bringing with her a year and a half of hands-on experience and a true passion for animal care. A proud attendee of Texas Tech University, she is driven by the belief that every day in the clinic is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their families. Her compassion and dedication shine through in everything she does, from assisting in appointments to helping ensure each patient receives the highest level of care.

At home, Chloe shares her life with her cat, Aelin, and two dogs—Sundown, a Pit Bull mix, and Blue, a German Shepherd–Catahoula mix. Outside of work, she enjoys curling up with a good book, experimenting in the kitchen, and spending cozy movie nights with her fiancé, Jacob. A former college rugby player, Chloe now cheers from the sidelines and lives by the motto: there’s nothing a cup of coffee can’t fix.

Melissa Niemeyer

Melissa joined the All Cypress Veterinary Hospital team in January 2021, bringing her kind heart and steady dedication to every aspect of animal care. A proud Maize High School graduate, she finds great fulfillment in working with animals and ensuring each patient receives compassionate, high-quality care.

One of Melissa’s greatest strengths is her ability to advocate for pets. She remembers each furry face and the specific care they require, making her a valuable asset to the clinic. Melissa helps provide a safe, clean, and compassionate environment where both clients and pets can thrive.

At home, Melissa shares her life with four beloved pets—three dogs - Roxy, Biddy Girl, and Freckles, and a cat - Ditch. They bring joy and energy to her life every day. In her spare time, she enjoys tending her yard and relaxing with a good puzzle, reflecting her patient and thoughtful nature both in and out of the clinic.

Kirsten Bradley

Kirsten joined the All Cypress Veterinary Hospital team in June 2025 as a Kennel Technician, bringing enthusiasm, compassion, and a genuine love for animals to her role. A dedicated student at Marshall High School, she enjoys caring for the clinic’s patients and working alongside a supportive, animal-loving team. Kirsten continues her education both through school and hands-on experience at the clinic.

At home, Kirsten tends to her own little animal family—Copper, her loyal dog; Willow, her sweet guinea pig; and Skittles, her curious leopard gecko. Each one reflects her natural ability to nurture and connect with animals of all kinds.

Beyond her work at the clinic, Kirsten is active in sports and enjoys showing pigs through FFA, further growing her passion for agriculture and animal care. Her energy, dedication, and eagerness to learn make her a valued member of the All Cypress Veterinary Hospital family.
